Don't leave the house in the mornings without these easy to make homemade instant oatmeal jars. They're perfect for weekday breakfasts on the go!


Ingredients

-3 cups instant oatmeal

-suggested toppings:

  1. dried fruit
  2. nuts
  3. seeds
  4. fresh fruit
  5. brown sugar
  6. maple syrup
  7. ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Fill six small jars or containers (with lids) with 1/2 cup instant oatmeal.
  2. Top with desired toppings and add-ins of choice and cover tightly with lid. Keep in fridge or at room temperature for the week.
  3. To heat, pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup hot water and stir. Allow to sit for about 3 minutes and then enjoy.

Clean Eating Turkey Chili Recipe

This easy and healthy clean eating turkey chili recipe is perfect to make in the crock pot. I love using ground turkey in my chili because it contains less fat than ground beef. For a vegetarian version you can always skip the meat and add extra beans! You  can also add or subtract ingredients and make it your own. 


INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 lbs. 99% fat free ground turkey breast
  • 1 large yellow onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 2 15 oz. cans black beans, rinsed
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add olive oil, onion and garlic to a large skillet and saute 3 to 4 minutes until slightly tender. Add ground turkey and cook until done, crumbly and brown. It should not be necessary to drain.
  2. Add the meat mixture to the crockpot. Add the remaining ingredients starting with the water. Stir until blended.
  3. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, or 6 to 8 hours on low.
